The Aral Sea Tourism Week will take place in the Republic of Karakalpakstan

From April 16th to 19th, the Aral Sea Tourism Week will be organized in Nukus and Muynak district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Tourism of Uzbekistan.
According to the report, the forum will include an international scientific-practical seminar "Goodwill Ambassadors of the Aral Sea", an exhibition, and a creative plein air event "Aral through the Eyes of Artists". The exhibition will feature paintings of the Aral Sea by both amateur and professional artists.
Additionally, on April 18th, an eco-marathon called Aral Sea Eco Race is planned in Muynak, covering a distance of 2 km. Participants will run 1 km to the tree planting site, plant a tree, and return. At the finish line, each marathon runner will receive a medal shaped like a symbolic tree for participating in the nature restoration project.
To participate in the Aral Sea Eco Race, registration is required on the prorun.uz website.
Moreover, guests of the event can enjoy a gastronomic festival called "99 types of fish dishes of the Aral Sea" and an unforgettable journey to historical landmarks.
