Currently, fraudsters are attempting to distribute fake banking licenses to citizens via the internet using counterfeit phone numbers, offering loans, and misappropriating their funds. This warning was issued by the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
"We inform you that it is not possible to issue loans from banks operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan through social networks and messaging apps," the statement read.
To protect against various illegal activities that can be committed by fraudsters by falsifying the Central Bank's license form, the Central Bank has urged citizens to avoid dubious services and to exercise caution when handling documents.
"Furthermore, in cases where licenses printed on the official form of the Central Bank are presented, it is recommended to verify the information on them against the information on licensed and registered organizations available on the official website of the Central Bank," the press service added.
Additionally, the Central Bank emphasizes that these measures will help prevent various misunderstandings and disputes that may arise in the future when using services in the financial market.
