The CIS Foreign Ministers summarized and outlined the future

A regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS was held in Almaty under the chairmanship of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev.
The ministers discussed the current international agenda and interaction within the framework of the Commonwealth. Special attention was paid to border security issues: the draft of the relevant program for 2026-2030 will be submitted for consideration by the heads of state of the CIS countries in October in Dushanbe.
The draft Regulation on the establishment of the CIS Volunteers Forum was also approved, and a number of measures to enhance interagency partnerships were agreed upon.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs approved the creation of two new base organizations: in the field of information security of the armed forces - on the basis of the Krasnodar Higher Military School, and in matters of student nutrition - on the basis of the Moscow Institute of Industrial Nutrition.
Among the legal solutions are draft amendments to the Convention on Legal Assistance aimed at strengthening the protection of the rights of minors and simplifying the collection of alimony.
In addition, initiatives to develop a joint communication system of the armed forces, radiation and chemical control, international supplies, as well as a project to award for contribution to the development of tourism in the CIS were discussed.
The next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth will be held on October 9 in Dushanbe.
