The Efficiency of Using Statistical Data Will Be Improved with Artificial Intelligence
Technology
Significant reforms are being implemented in Uzbekistan's statistical system to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. According to the presidential decree, starting January 1, 2026, new AI-powered interactive services will be introduced in statistical agencies.
The new services include:
"Advisor" – an AI-based interactive service that provides consulting assistance to enterprises and organizations in submitting reports.
"Analyst" – a consultative AI system that helps users quickly and efficiently find statistical data.
"Call Center" – an AI-powered service that enables conducting statistical surveys via telephone.
Additionally, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, a branch of the Economic Statistics Department of Tashkent State University of Economics will be established at the National Statistics Committee. This branch will train specialists in the field and contribute to the further development of the statistical system.
Another key change – from July 1, 2025, the registration system for individual entrepreneurs (IEs) will be improved. The registration process will now be based on the national classifier of economic activities and business sectors.
These reforms aim to enhance the efficiency of statistical data utilization through artificial intelligence, provide greater convenience for users, and improve the quality of economic analysis.
