On May 12, in Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkiyan received the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, who arrived on an official visit. The head of the delegation conveyed warm wishes and greetings from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Iranian side, expressing gratitude for the hospitality.

During the negotiations, it was emphasized that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, Uzbek-Iranian relations have reached the level of comprehensive partnership. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, which are of great importance for the stability of the region.

The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation: trade, investment, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, humanitarian and cultural ties. The talks also touched upon strengthening ties between the regions of the two countries.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation visited the Iran Innovation and Technology House, where they familiarized themselves with modern developments in the fields of energy, medicine, pharmaceuticals, IT, agriculture, and construction.

The visit concluded, confirming the commitment to long-term and pragmatic interaction.
