On September 10, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin.
The Russian delegation is visiting our country as part of the program of the fifth meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of the heads of government of Uzbekistan and Russia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
During the talks, issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Russian relations of multifaceted cooperation, comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of decisions and agreements made during the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan on May 26-28 this year.
In this context, the fruitful results of the regular meeting of the Joint Commission held the day before were highly appreciated.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the dynamics of trade turnover, support and accelerate cooperation projects in industry, energy, agriculture, transport and other priority sectors of the economy was noted.
The head of our state spoke in favor of further expanding practical cooperation at the regional level, continuing intensive cultural and humanitarian exchange, and organizing effective cooperation in the field of migration.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
