The President of Uzbekistan discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation with Oman

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, led by the country's Minister of Economy, Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, who arrived in our country to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings from the Sultan of Oman, Heytham bin Tariq Al Said.
The parties exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and financial spheres.
Dynamic contacts and growing trade turnover were noted. Important projects are being successfully implemented with the participation of the Uzbek-Oman Investment Company. Direct air service between the capitals of the two countries will be launched next month.
An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission in Muscat this year.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to promoting promising projects in the areas of transport, logistics, geology, e-commerce, digital infrastructure, and other areas.
