The President walked around Tashkent and got acquainted with infrastructure projects

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a number of infrastructure projects in the capital on Thursday. It was noted that Elbek Park will be located between Abdulla Kadiry Street and the Small Ring Road. The head of state also pointed out the revision of the appearance of the Tashkent-East airport terminal.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev walked around the capital July 20 and got acquainted with the creative work being done in the city, the President's press service reported.
The President inspected the area near Pakhtakor metro, in particular, the conditions for pedestrian and car traffic. Taking into account that traffic will only increase in the future, the need to build an overpass at the intersection of Batyr Zakirov and Alisher Navoi streets was emphasised. He also visited Alisher Navoi, Oybek, Nukus streets, familiarised himself with the state of street infrastructure, talked to people.
Then the head of state inspected the construction of another object — an overpass near Tashkent International Airport. The bridge will be widened by building an additional platform in order to increase convenience and capacity. It will be 650 metres long and 30 metres wide. Entrances and exits will eliminate the need to turn round and make it easier to use the interchange.
According to the President, Elbek Park will be located between Abdulla Kadiry Street and the Small Ring Road. Instructions have been given to preserve this park and expand recreational facilities for the population.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the construction of Tashkent-East Airport. The total area of the airport will be 693 hectares. According to the project, it will have a 4-km runway, modern terminals, hangars and aprons.
It is planned to build a runway and a VIP terminal building. The President inspected these facilities, gave instructions to finance the next stages of construction and revise the appearance of the airport terminal.
