The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Muslim Board, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar.
The head of state inquired about the progress of preparations for the holy Hajj pilgrimage, the conditions created for compatriots, their health and mood.
At the beginning of the conversation, Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar conveyed to Shavkat Mirziyoyev the greetings and wishes of the pilgrims who are in sacred places.
It was noted that this year the Hajj events are organized at a high level and are proceeding in an orderly manner. Regional Hajj centers work smoothly. With the support of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Committee for Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health and other organizations, all conditions were created for pilgrims.
Currently, about 12 thousand of our compatriots are in Saudi Arabia. A total of 15,130 citizens will be able to make the pilgrimage. They are accompanied by 300 group leaders, 50 doctors of the highest category, cooks, translators and other assistants.
