Hosting such a prestigious global forum marks a historic recognition of Uzbekistan’s growing international standing, its commitment to UNESCO’s values, and its contribution to promoting global dialogue, peace, and cultural preservation.

The session will feature over 150 events dedicated to key issues in education, science, culture, ecology, technology, and communication.

Delegations from more than 200 countries and international organizations are participating in the conference. Distinguished guests include the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, and other world leaders.

UNESCO, established in 1945, is a specialized UN agency dedicated to strengthening peace and security through international cooperation in education, science, and culture.

Uzbekistan became a member of UNESCO in 1993, and in 1996, the organization’s representative office was opened in Tashkent — marking a new chapter in the country’s long-term partnership with UNESCO.
