The Presidential Administration is changing its structure
Uzbekistan
The updated structure of the Presidential Administration has been approved in Uzbekistan. The corresponding decree "On measures to improve efficiency, proactivity and effectiveness in the system of public administration" was signed by the head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The reform is aimed at optimizing the state apparatus and strengthening work in priority areas. As a result:
284 staff positions were reduced, duplicating positions were eliminated;
Five priority areas of the Administration's work have been identified: education, business environment, healthcare, water resources, and the judicial-legal system;
For focused work in these areas, five new positions of Deputy Head of the Administration were introduced;
The positions of Presidential Advisor on Strategic Development and Foreign Policy were established;
New departments have been created, including:
on financial technologies;
digitalization and artificial intelligence;
creative economy and tourism;
public safety and rule of law;
preparation of analytical materials for meetings and visits;
as well as the communications department.
These changes are aimed at strengthening a proactive and analytical approach to governance, as well as developing modern tools in public administration.
