The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Iran held a telephone conversation

At the beginning of the conversation, the Iranian President sincerely congratulated the head of state on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued success in his responsible public duties.

The Uzbek leader expressed serious concern about the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing that it is more important than ever to maintain restraint and resume dialogue.

During the telephone conversation, an agreement was reached on the further development of bilateral cooperation, specifically expanding interaction in trade, economic, investment, transport, and cultural and humanitarian areas.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Iran also exchanged views on other agenda items.
