The Uzbek Foreign Minister met with the Under-Secretary-General for UN Women

Sima Sami Iskandar Bahous, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate at the Asian Women's Forum being held in Samarkand these days. Appreciate Madam Bahous's continued support of the reforms aimed at creating the best conditions for women and girls in our country. Ensuring gender equality, promoting women empowerment, realization of their full potential in our society are among the top priorities of the Government of Uzbekistan towards achieving long-term prosperity," wrote the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in his Telegram channel.

It is worth reminding that on May 9, 2024, the delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov was received by the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
