Trump orders declassification of UFO and extraterrestrial life documents

US President Donald Trump has instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegset and relevant agencies to begin releasing government materials related to extraterrestrial life and unidentified flying objects (UFOs). He announced this on the social network Truth Social.
According to Trump, the documents will cover extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and other related information. He emphasized that these topics remain “extremely complex, yet highly interesting and important.”
Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported that US military officials may have deliberately spread false UFO information to conceal secret weapons programs. Investigations ordered by the US Congress suggested that some popular Area 51 conspiracy theories were supported by the Pentagon itself.
It was noted that in the 1980s, a US Air Force officer gave photos of alleged “flying saucers” to a bar owner near the base, which later turned out to be part of a disinformation operation.
