The American news channel CNN has released a previously unknown audio recording of Donald Trump, made during a 2024 donor event, in which he claimed he threatened to bomb Moscow if Russia invaded Ukraine.

Trump Threatened to "Bomb Moscow to Hell"
"I told Putin: ‘If you go into Ukraine, I will bomb Moscow to hell,’" Trump said. "He didn’t believe me. Maybe he believed me 10%… And sometimes that’s enough."

Trump did not specify when exactly this conversation with Putin took place. During the same event, the former U.S. President also mentioned Chinese leader Xi Jinping, saying he similarly threatened to bomb Beijing if China moved to invade Taiwan.

"He thought I was crazy," Trump said. "But we never had any problems."

These statements were made during Trump’s campaign events in New York and Florida as part of his preparation for the 2024 presidential race. The audio recordings were later shared with the authors of the book “2024”, which focuses on Trump’s return to the White House.

Trump’s campaign declined to comment on the release.
