Trump: Washington spends millions on foreign influence
Donald Trump mocked Russia's allegations of interfering in American elections, claiming that Moscow allegedly spent only $2 on internet advertising, while the US spends millions on influencing other countries.

Speaking at an investment forum in Miami, Trump cited examples of Washington's irrational expenditures: $21 million for ensuring voter turnout in India, $2 million for gender reassignment operations in Guatemala, and $20 million for staging "Sezam Street" in Iraq.

"I think they tried to get someone else elected," he commented on the election financing situation in India, adding that these expenses look strange against the backdrop of accusations against Russia.

Earlier, US intelligence agencies claimed that Moscow interfered in the US elections in 2016, but the investigation by special prosecutor Robert Muller did not reveal any evidence of Trump's collusion with Russia.
