The lawyer of former US President Donald Trump, Steve Sadow, said that the trial of the former President in the case of election interference in the state of Georgia should be postponed until at least 2029. This is reported by Politico.
According to Sadow, such a decision should be made if Trump wins the presidential election in 2024.
“I believe that the [Constitution’s] supremacy clause and his duties as president of the United States — this trial would not take place at all until after his term in office,” said Steve Sadow.
