Turkish FM expresses hope for a speedy start of talks on Ukraine

Türkiye expects the creation of a political atmosphere for negotiations on Ukraine, the conflict should be stopped as soon as possible, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said.
Fidan stated at a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart in Ankara on Tuesday that they expect the political atmosphere to start negotiations on Ukraine sooner. He mentioned that some Western countries, particularly the US, are waiting for the completion of the electoral process. However, he emphasized that, in their view, it is necessary to stop the conflict sooner and sit down at the negotiating table for a ceasefire, a position they reiterated at the summit in Switzerland.
On Sunday afternoon, 23 June, the Ukrainian armed forces struck Sevastopol with US-made ATACMS missiles. The main strike hit the beach in Uchkuivka. According to the latest data, 151 people were injured in the attack, 82 of them were hospitalised, four people were killed, including two children.
In its turn, on 25 June, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed two warehouses of military and technical equipment of the Ukrainian army, as well as the P-18 radar station for detecting and tracking air targets. The total losses of the AFU over the day totalled up to 2,345 people, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
