According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) head İbrahim Kalın held a 3+3 format meeting with the Jordanian delegation in Ankara.

During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation between Türkiye and Jordan in ensuring uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza were discussed. Additionally, Hakan Fidan emphasized Türkiye's full support for Jordan's role as the custodian of the holy sites in Jerusalem.

Ankara and Amman condemned Israel's relentless attacks on the Gaza Strip, which have claimed the lives of at least 45,800 Palestinians since October 7, 2023. A genocide case has been filed against Israel at the International Court of Justice.

During the discussions, Fidan highlighted the importance of supporting Syria's new government for regional security and stability. He also reaffirmed Türkiye's determination in combating terrorist groups in Syria, including the PKK/YPG.

Another key topic of the discussions was ensuring the voluntary and dignified return of Syrians living in Türkiye and Jordan to their homeland. According to a Turkish Parliament representative cited by Anadolu Agency, 40,000 people have returned to Syria from Türkiye since the fall of the Syrian regime.
