As a result of Hurricane "Milton," which struck the state of Florida, at least two individuals have lost their lives, according to American media. The hurricane hit the Spanish Lakes Country Club Village nursing home in Fort Pierce.

"We have lost several people," quotes the sheriff of St. Lucie County, Keith Pearson, according to WPBF News. A representative from the St. Lucie County Fire Department confirmed to NBC News two fatalities and reported that several individuals were hospitalized.

ABC News also reports five injured people who were taken to hospitals following reports of numerous tornadoes that caused damage in some areas of Palm Beach County.

In Florida, more than two million people are without electricity. Nearly all residents of Hardy County are without power, while the counties of Sarasota, Lamantin, and Pinellas are experiencing significant outages.

According to the White House, President Joe Biden has been informed about Hurricane "Milton."
