UK, US and Australia sanction Russian citizen Aleksandr Ermakov

The US Treasury Department accuses Aleksandr Ermakov of carrying out a cyberattack on Medibank in 2022.
The United States of America together with Britain and Australia imposed sanctions against the Russian Aleksandr Ermakov, who was accused of hacking into the database of the largest medical insurance company Medibank. The US Treasury Department said.
"Today, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), in coordination with Australia and the United Kingdom, designated Alexander Ermakov, a cyber actor who played a pivotal in the 2022 ransomware attack against Medibank Private Limited, an Australian healthcare insurer," the statement claimed.
