Ukraine says attempt to seize Rada building disrupted
The SSU claims that it detained the activists who were preparing to announce the ouster of the country's military-political leadership and seize the Verkhovna Rada building, TASS reported.

According to the special service's Telegram channel, the activists were preparing provocations for 30 June. According to the SSU, they planned to hold a people's assembly in the centre of Kiev, where they would announce the removal of the current leadership from power. Then the activists allegedly planned to seize the Rada building, thus blocking the work of parliament.

The detainees were charged under the article on actions and calls for actions aimed at changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power. They have already chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The number of the detainees was not specified, but the SSU added that they could face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
