According to an UNOPS statement, six foreign workers affiliated with UN organizations were injured in the Israeli strike. One of them was taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in critical condition but could not be saved by doctors. The remaining five victims are also in serious condition.

The incident occurred near the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. According to Egypt’s "Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya" TV channel, the UN employees targeted in the strike were involved in mine-clearing operations in the Gaza Strip. So far, UN officials have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.

UNOPS Executive Director Jorge Moreira da Silva stated:
"This is no accident. What is happening in Gaza is beyond comprehension. I am shocked by this tragic news. Last month, I witnessed the absolute dedication of our team in Gaza. They, along with other UN personnel and buildings, should never be targeted. I extend my sincere condolences to all those affected."

"Attacks on humanitarian facilities constitute a violation of international law. UN personnel and its buildings must be protected from all sides. I reiterate the UN’s call for the restoration of a ceasefire, the unimpeded resumption of humanitarian aid, and the unconditional release of hostages," the UN representative said.
