Amid uncertainty over the future of U.S. aid, American officials have suggested that Ukraine’s manpower shortage might be an even more pressing issue than its lack of weapons.
Speaking on the situation in Brussels, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told journalists: "Neither financial aid nor weapons alone will solve this problem. Ukraine needs people on the front lines to counter Russian aggression."
As Russia continues its offensives in the eastern regions, President Zelensky faces mounting pressure to send more young people to the front lines, The Washington Post reports.
