It is reported that this number does not include many children who are missing and buried under rubble.
Since the beginning of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict killed more than 5.3 thousand Palestinian children. This was reported by the head of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) Catherine Russell.
Before the humanitarian pause, more than 5,300 Palestinian children had died in 48 days of incessant bombing, she said.
Russell said that number does not include many children who are missing and buried under rubble.
"Should violence return to this scale and intensity, we can assume that hundreds more children will be killed and injured every day. And if we are not able to get water, food, medical supplies, blankets, and warm clothes to those in need, we will face a humanitarian catastrophe," the statement said.
