Up to 100 Million UZS in Subsidies for Some Farmers

Uzbekistan

A new subsidy and financial support system for farmers and household plot owners has been introduced in Uzbekistan. This system is funded by the Fund for Supporting the Activities of Farmers and Household Plot Owners.

Up to 100 Million UZS in Subsidies for Some Farmers
According to Presidential Decree No. PF-22 dated February 14, 2025, the following financial support mechanisms are established:

Every year, up to 100 BRV (Basic Calculation Units) in grants will be allocated for the most advanced and innovative household farming projects in 500 neighborhoods.

Subsidies for Master Farmers

Farmers organizing short-term training courses will receive subsidies of up to 15 BRV to cover costs.

If 50% of households in a neighborhood begin growing export-oriented agricultural products, subsidies of up to 100 million UZS will be provided to such farmers.

Commercial banks will provide loans for up to 7 years, with a 2-year grace period, for growing, processing, drying, storing, and packaging agricultural products. These loans will be issued at a rate 4 percentage points higher than the Central Bank’s base rate.

Cold storage warehouses, packaging, drying, and processing equipment, as well as ready-made greenhouses on household and leased lands will be available on a 5-year lease with a 24-month grace period.

This new subsidy system aims to enhance agricultural production and increase farmers' incomes.
