U.S. Has Effectively Replaced the UN in Conflict Resolution

U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington is now playing a leading role in resolving international conflicts, while the United Nations has shown limited effectiveness.
U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States has effectively taken on the role of the United Nations in resolving international conflicts. He made the remarks in a post on the Truth Social platform.
According to Trump, the U.S. has played a decisive role in settling several conflicts in recent months, including the situation surrounding Ukraine. He argued that the UN has provided “very little help” in these efforts.
As an example, Trump cited the recent ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, reached with mediation from the United States, China, and Malaysia. Fighting along the border resumed in December after a previous ceasefire collapsed earlier in the year, but the new agreement was achieved “quickly and decisively,” he said.
Trump concluded by calling on the United Nations to take a more active role in maintaining global peace and to adopt more effective measures to address international conflicts.
