US Peace Plan Fails to Resolve Differences

A series of negotiations in Miami between the US, Ukraine, European countries, and Russia did not lead to a breakthrough. The US ceasefire project remains a stumbling block, despite Donald Trump's cautious optimism. Vladimir Zelensky stated that progress depends on Moscow's readiness for a real end to the war.

US Peace Plan Fails to Resolve Differences
Negotiations on resolving the conflict in Ukraine last weekend in Miami failed to overcome key disagreements between the parties. Meetings between US presidential administration officials and representatives of Ukraine, European countries, and Russia confirmed that the diplomatic deadlock persists.

The main reason for the lack of progress remains the American draft ceasefire agreement, the provisions of which cause serious disputes. Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about a speedy deal. However, commenting on the negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that, despite the presence of constructive elements, the outcome depends on whether Russia feels the "need to really end the war." According to him, no signs of such interest from Vladimir Putin have been observed so far.

Thus, the dialogue continues in conditions of deep mutual distrust. The parties demonstrate a readiness to discuss, but substantial compromises have not yet been found.
