Use and Sale of AI-80 Gasoline to Be Restricted by Year-End

By the end of 2025, the use and sale of AI-80 automotive fuel will be restricted, ensuring that the population has access to high-quality, environmentally friendly, and affordable fuel. This is outlined in the presidential decree on the "State Program for Implementing the Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy."
According to the decree, all resources and efforts will be mobilized to achieve the following objectives by the end of 2025:
Restricting the use and sale of AI-80 gasoline, ensuring the population has access to cleaner and higher-quality fuel.
Completely banning the use of mazut as fuel in heat and power generation facilities across the republic.
In exceptional cases, mazut may only be used as emergency fuel with the approval of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change and in coordination with the Cabinet of Ministers.
