A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and Egypt’s Al-Azhar complex.
Currently, close cooperation has been established with the Al-Azhar complex in training personnel, enhancing their professional skills, and organizing international conferences and seminars.
The signed memorandum of understanding regulates the admission of Uzbek youth aspiring to receive religious education into the educational institutions of the Al-Azhar complex.
The document outlines tasks such as exchanging information and experience in the field of education, jointly organizing international conferences, conducting awareness campaigns aimed at preventing the spread of destructive false religious ideas and manifestations of extremism, and carrying out scientific research to deeply study Islamic heritage.
