According to the results of the third quarter, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan became one of the five leading central banks of the world in terms of gold purchases. This is confirmed by the statistics of the World Gold Council.

In total, Uzbekistan's precious metal reserves increased by seven tonnes. The ranking was headed by the Central Bank of China, which bought 78 tonnes of gold.

The top three were the Central Bank of Poland (57 tonnes) and Turkey (39 tonnes). The fourth place went to India.

It is noted that from July to September, the world's central banks bought 337 tonnes of gold. This is 27% less than last year.

According to the London Bullion Market Association, the average price per ounce of gold is estimated at $ 1.9 thousand, with an annual increase of 12 per cent.
