The investment portfolio has surpassed $60 billion, including 64 projects worth $10 billion implemented last year. Joint technoparks and industrial zones are operating in Uzbekistan, while production of BYD electric vehicles is expanding.

At a business forum held ahead of the visit, initiatives were discussed in green energy, transport, mineral processing, chemical and agricultural sectors, tourism, and urban development. Special attention was given to the creation of an Uzbekistan–China Artificial Intelligence Center.

Educational cooperation is growing rapidly: branches of the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, the International Mathematics Center, and Xi’an Petroleum University have been opened. Plans include the opening of a branch of Beijing Institute of Technology and the creation of “Lu Ban Workshops” to train specialists in energy, engineering, AI, medicine, and agriculture.

The two countries also agreed to expand Chinese language studies, increase quotas for Uzbek youth, and strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges. A visa-free regime has been introduced, the number of flights has increased, and joint exhibitions and cultural centers are planned.

The commitment to continue cooperation within the UN, SCO, and the “Central Asia–China” format was reaffirmed. President Mirziyoyev invited Xi Jinping to visit Uzbekistan. The talks were held in an atmosphere of trust and friendship.
