Uzbekistan and Egypt are strengthening cooperation in higher education

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kungratboy Sharipov discussed expanding academic partnership with the Ambassador of Egypt Tamer Fatih Abdussalem Hammad.
On February 25, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Egypt to Uzbekistan Tamer Fathi Abdussalom Hammad. The countries intend to increase the number of agreements between universities, create a joint working committee, and organize an educational exhibition for Egyptian students.
Main Agreements:
Currently, more than 10 cooperation agreements are in effect between the universities of Uzbekistan and Egypt, and their number is planned to increase.
The involvement of Egyptian teachers and the expansion of professional development programs in the Arabic language are expected.
In April, the first meeting of the joint working group will be held, which will include representatives of leading universities of the two countries.
In May, a special educational exhibition will be held in Uzbekistan for Egyptian students, where they will be able to learn about the possibilities of learning.
It was also noted that the prestige of Uzbek universities in the international arena is growing - in 2025, 23 of the country's universities entered the ranking of the best universities in Asia.
