The President of Uzbekistan signed a law ratifying the agreement with Malaysia on legal assistance in criminal matters. This step will allow the two countries to strengthen cooperation in combating crime and conduct criminal investigations more effectively.
According to the agreement, Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur will exchange information, assist in the search and identification of suspects, and fulfill each other's procedural requests. The document also provides for rules for refusing legal assistance and restrictions on the use of the received data.
