New Ambassador of Uzbekistan Arrives in Kyrgyzstan

On September 25, Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev, the newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan, arrived in Bishkek, reports Dunyo news agency.

The 59-year-old diplomat previously served as Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, gaining extensive experience in strengthening international relations. In August 2024, Niyazkhodjaev was awarded the “Dostyk” Order II class by the President of Kazakhstan for his contribution to bilateral relations.

Niyazkhodjaev graduated from the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute (now the Tashkent State Technical University) and held various high-level government positions, including Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan.

His new mission in Bishkek is focused on enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Niyazkhodjaev replaces Khurshid Mirzakhidov, who served as ambassador from 2020 to 2024.
