Uzbekistan Awards State Honours Ahead of 35th Independence Anniversary

Uzbekistan has honoured a broad group of government officials, public figures, and representatives of the economic and social sectors with state awards ahead of the country’s 35th Independence Anniversary. Under a presidential decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 22, recipients were awarded the “Do‘stlik,” “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun,” “Mehnat shuhrati,” “Shon-sharaf,” and “Mardlik” orders, as well as state medals and honorary titles.
The “Do‘stlik” Order was awarded to Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Tamila Aliyeva, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Qudratov, Head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration and Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov, Presidential Adviser Muzaffar Kamilov, Director of the National Agency of Perspective Projects Dmitry Li, Head of the Presidential Protocol Ulugbek Kurbanov, Deputy Presidential Speechwriter Murtaza Karshiboyev, as well as Komil Allamjonov, Adviser to the Head of the Presidential Administration engaged on a contractual basis and Representative of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan in the United States.
The “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun” Order was awarded to Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan Firdavs Abduhalikov, Presidential Adviser Gafurjon Mirzaev, Kashkadarya Region Governor Murotjon Azimov, and Fergana Region Governor Khairullo Bozorov.
The “Mehnat shuhrati” Order was awarded to Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, Bukhara Region Governor Botir Zaripov, Namangan Region Governor Shavkat Abdurazakov, and other representatives of the state and social sectors.
Among the other recipients of the “Do‘stlik” Order are Senators Sayyora Abdikarimova and Odiljon Mamatkarimov, MPs Nodir Jumayev, Dilbarkhon Mamadjanova and Sapargul Utemuratova, Ombudsman Feruza Eshmatova, Chairman of the Tax Committee Farrukh Pulatov, and Head of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat Shukhrat Sodikov, alongside other state officials.
The awards recognise contributions to the implementation of large-scale reforms, economic development and improvements in public welfare, strengthening Uzbekistan’s international standing, infrastructure development, the introduction of modern technologies, and active public service.
The decree also provides for the awarding of the “Sodiq xizmatlari uchun” and “Shuhrat” medals, along with other state honours, to representatives of various sectors.
