Uzbekistan Deepens Cooperation with the EAEU
Uzbekistan is seeking to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov said at an expanded meeting in Shymkent.

Trade and economic interaction has intensified in recent years, with growing cooperation in industry, agriculture, transport, and the digital economy.

Last year, trade turnover increased by 25% and exceeded $12 billion. The EAEU’s share in Uzbekistan’s total trade reached nearly 25%, while about 30% of exports go to member states.

Aripov proposed holding the fifth meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission working group in Tashkent, where key agreements, including data exchange on goods and transport, will be discussed.

Priority areas include reducing trade barriers, expanding industrial cooperation, enhancing digital integration, joining technological platforms, and boosting tourism.

These initiatives are expected to strengthen economic partnership and create sustainable production chains.
