Uzbekistan is one of the leading countries in Central Asia in the export of fruits and vegetables. According to the Statistics Agency, in 2024, Uzbekistan exported 11.2 thousand tons of dried apricots worth $17.4 million.

In 2024, the main importing countries of Uzbek dried apricots were:

China – 3,321 tons
Russia – 1,388 tons
Ukraine – 1,107 tons
Turkey – 1,063 tons
Kazakhstan – 946 tons
Belarus – 811 tons
Azerbaijan – 571 tons
Other countries – 2,051 tons

These figures indicate that Uzbekistan has established a strong presence in Asian and European markets for dried apricot exports. The demand in China is particularly high, with the largest volume of shipments directed there.

Between January and November 2024, Uzbekistan exported 64.8 thousand tons of fresh apricots, with a total value of $62.2 million. The country is not only increasing exports to its traditional markets but also expanding into new regions such as the European Union, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Quality is a major focus in the international market. To meet global standards, Uzbekistan is adopting modern packaging technologies and Halal certification requirements. In this regard, a special presidential decree has been signed to further support the industry.
