US President Donald Trump announced the signing of a trade agreement with China and expressed confidence in the possibility of concluding a "very large deal" with India. This was stated by the head of the White House during a speech at an economic event in Washington.

According to him, Finance Minister Scott Bessent, Trade Minister Howard Latnick, and Trade Representative Jason Greer "work overtime," making agreements with various countries.

"Everyone wants to make a deal with us," Trump said. "A few months ago, the media doubted that anyone was interested. Yesterday we signed an agreement with China.

The President noted that not all proposals will be accepted: "We will not make deals with everyone. We'll just send someone a letter: "Thank you very much, but you'll pay the duty at 25, 35, or 45 percent."

He also reported that, within the framework of the agreement reached with China, the parties are starting to mutually "open markets" and did not rule out the conclusion of an agreement with India: "We will open up India. Things that were previously impossible are happening now. Our relations with all countries are in excellent condition."

According to the president, the US-imposed tariffs are already bringing economic benefits. In particular, Texas Instruments intends to invest $60 billion in the construction of factories in the US.
