Uzbekistan exported fruits, vegetables and food products worth 910 million dollars in 2024

The president gave an instruction to sharply increase the export of processed fruits and vegetables by the end of the year.
In the past period of this year, the export of fruits, vegetables and food products amounted to 910 million dollars. It was pointed out that in order to ensure the planned export by the end of the year, it is necessary to increase the export of processed fruits and vegetables. This was discussed at the video selector meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 17.
Currently, work has been started on 382 projects worth 9 trillion sums to increase storage, sorting and processing capacities.
It is noted that it is necessary to increase such projects, to build 10 agro-logistics centers with a total capacity of 57,000 tons, and a 230,000-ton refrigerated warehouse by the end of the year.
Officials are tasked with increasing fruit and vegetable storage capacity to 63 percent.
