Uzbekistan is reforming the education system
Within the framework of the implementation of the "Uzbekistan - 2030" Strategy, special attention is paid to the reform of education. The measures to improve the professional level of teachers and modernize the personnel training system were presented to the President. It was noted that despite the presence of 76 pedagogical universities, the scientific potential remains low - only about 40%.

Special attention was paid to the shortage of teachers of exact and natural sciences, as well as the high number of part-time students. In response, it was proposed to establish the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan, as well as launch the "Teachers of the Future" program.

At the "New Uzbekistan" University, with the involvement of foreign specialists and compatriots from abroad, new laboratories and a German-style clinic will be opened to strengthen the training of personnel in advanced fields: engineering, IT, AI, and medicine.

To assess the level of education in the country, 9,000 15-year-old schoolchildren will be tested using the international PISA system in 2025.

Taking into account the shortage of school places (two thousand schools are overcrowded), it is planned to create 112 thousand new student places, as well as to build 58 schools in the regions through a loan from the Islamic Development Bank ($200 million).

Special attention was paid to the information security of children. Despite high internet activity among schoolchildren (80% regularly use social networks), high-quality national content is insufficient. The President instructed to increase its volume and support authors who create educational and instructional materials.
