During the ECOSOC Youth Forum currently being held in the United States, the Uzbek delegation led by Alisher Sa’dullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Felipe Paullier, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the UN Youth Office.

At the meeting, Felipe Paullier emphasized that Uzbekistan’s activities in implementing youth policy in Central Asia deserve special recognition. According to him, Uzbekistan holds a leading position in the region and serves as a model for other countries in working with youth.

Specifically, it was noted that within the UN’s “Youth Strategy – 2030,” Uzbekistan has been ranked among the world’s top 10 progressive countries. Additionally, the “Pact for the Future” initiative is being implemented in Uzbekistan as a regional example.

Felipe Paullier also announced his participation in the upcoming Global Youth Festival for Digital and “Green” Initiatives, to be held on May 15 in the Aral Sea region. During this visit, new initiatives and documents related to youth policy between the UN and Uzbekistan are expected to be signed.

Uzbekistan’s emergence as a leader in youth engagement on the international stage, and the recognition of its practical initiatives by the UN, represent a significant achievement for the country.
