Uzbekistan Set for the First Kickboxing World Cup

VAKO President Roy Baker expressed his confidence that Uzbekistan is well-prepared to host the first Kickboxing World Cup, scheduled for September 25-29 in Tashkent. This prestigious event is expected to attract global attention and mark a milestone in the world of kickboxing.

At the press conference, VAKO President Roy Baker, ARISF President Raffaele Chiulli, and other international sports leaders highlighted the significance of the event. They emphasized that this tournament would not only promote the sport of kickboxing but also provide a global platform for showcasing Uzbek athletes' skills.

Approximately 3,000 athletes from 53 countries will compete, with 1,600 representing Uzbekistan. The event is expected to generate significant interest, contributing to the further growth of the sport in Uzbekistan and beyond.

A total of 135 international judges will officiate the matches, with 70 of them being from Uzbekistan. This demonstrates the country's progress in developing a strong network of skilled referees.

The World Cup is also seen as an essential step toward including kickboxing in the 2028 Olympic Games, offering young athletes new opportunities for recognition and success.
