Uzbekistan’s newly appointed ambassador (with residence in Brussels), Gayrat Fazilov, presented his credentials to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands on December 4.

During the discussion following the ceremony, the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands were discussed.

King Willem-Alexander conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The King also highlighted the dynamic nature of bilateral cooperation between the Netherlands and Uzbekistan, emphasizing the intensification of regular political contacts at various levels, as well as trade, economic, and investment cooperation.

Taking into account the Netherlands’ extensive expertise in these areas, the parties discussed further expansion of mutually beneficial relations, particularly in agriculture, efficient water resource management, advanced technologies, and innovation.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan’s head of mission to the European Union, Ambassador Gayrat Fazilov, presented his credentials to European Council President Charles Michel on November 14.

Earlier, on February 7, 2024, a ceremony was held in which Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Gayrat Fazilov presented his credentials to King Philippe of Belgium.
