Uzbekistan's ambassador supports a comprehensive solution to the Gaza crisis
Uzbek Ambassador to Cairo Mansurbek Kilichev noted that Egypt has played an important role in ending the war in Gaza and providing humanitarian aid to the besieged residents of Gaza. The ambassador said this in an interview with MENA news agency.

Kilichev said in an interview that Uzbekistan favours a comprehensive solution to the current crisis.

"This solution should lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This would be in line with relevant international legitimacy resolutions," the diplomat said.

Mansurbek Kilichev said Uzbekistan fully supports the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state.

Kilichev also added that Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev allocated 1.5 million dollars for UNRWA activities in Gaza.

We would like to remind that today, 23 January, marks the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan.
