Uzbekistan's first Ambassador to Serbia appointed

Oybek Shaxavdinov became Uzbekistan's first official ambassador to Serbia. He presented copies of his credentials to the head of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Branko Radovanovich. The meeting took place in Budapest, where the diplomat's main residence is located.
The parties discussed the strengthening of Uzbek-Serbian relations and expressed their readiness to expand cooperation. Radovanovich warmly welcomed the appointment of the ambassador, noting that this step would give new impetus to the development of relations between the countries.
As a reminder, Oybek Shaxavdinov is also Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Hungary and concurrently to Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia, where he presented his credentials to President Natasha Pirs Musar in December 2024.
