The demand for electrical products is rising in Uzbekistan’s energy, construction, water management, and automotive industries. During a meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the development and future plans for these key sectors.

Uzbekistan’s Growing Demand for Electrical Products
In the energy sector, projects valued at $36 billion are being implemented to produce 27 gigawatts of electricity, enhancing the country’s energy independence and efficient resource management.

In water management, the plan includes installing 4,150 water meters over the next three years and upgrading 243 gas distribution points by 2026, aiming to improve resource management efficiency.

Annually, 100,000 apartment units and 13 million square meters of non-residential buildings are constructed, requiring cables, transformers, heating and cooling systems, pumps, elevators, and utility meters. Additionally, the automotive industry imports over $200 million worth of electrical products every year.

The President called on officials to reduce reliance on imports, highlighting that with state support in the form of incentives and low-interest loans, local products must now meet the growing demand, replacing imports where possible.
