Uzbekistan's International Reserves Reach $41.1 Billion
Uzbekistan
As of September 2024, Uzbekistan's international reserves have reached $41.139 billion, according to data from the Central Bank. The currency portion of the reserves increased by $518.3 million, totaling $8.709 billion.
The physical volume of the gold reserves slightly decreased to 12.02 million ounces. It is estimated that between 300,000 to 350,000 ounces of gold, valued at $790–920 million, were sold in September. Due to the sharp increase in gold prices, the value of the gold reserves rose by $1.463 billion, reaching $31.860 billion.
The growth in reserves is largely due to the favorable prices of gold. However, considering the price levels at the beginning of the year, there remains a possibility of reserve decline. This indicates that the reduction in reserves has not been fully halted.
Additionally, it's worth noting that the report does not separately account for FRRU assets, making it difficult to accurately assess the real economic situation.
