President Vladimir Putin is becoming increasingly concerned about Russia's economic situation as Donald Trump has promised to quickly resolve the Ukraine conflict and may be planning to impose new sanctions on Russia.

Vladimir Putin Concerned About Russia's Economy
Russia's key economic sectors—oil, gas, and mineral exports—have shown growth during the war with Ukraine, which started in 2022, despite Western sanctions.

However, this situation is not stable, and as a result, some representatives of Russia's political and economic elite are advocating for ending the war through negotiations.

According to their view, economic distortions, particularly the rising military expenditures, make it necessary to end the war through talks. Trump, at the beginning of the year, clearly expressed his position on Ukraine, stating that he aims to end the war by applying economic pressure on Russia.

Nevertheless, Putin emphasizes that the main objectives of the war have already been achieved, and Russia has successfully strengthened its control over Ukrainian territories. At the same time, parts of the Russian economy, especially the private sector, are facing significant difficulties due to high interest rates and the cost of credit.

Russia's current economic policy continues to fight against changing market conditions. However, the ongoing war and the increase in military spending may put additional pressure on the economy, requiring crucial decisions from Putin and his government.
