The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, congratulated the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on his re-election. The congratulatory message was published on the official Kremlin website on January 27.

Putin warmly congratulated Lukashenko, noting that his significant victory in the elections is a clear proof of his political authority and the trust of the Belarusian people in the state policy.

In his address, Putin highly appreciated the efforts to strengthen the friendly relations between Moscow and Minsk and expressed readiness to continue developing this cooperation. He particularly emphasized the importance of expanding the multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Belarus, enhancing the efficiency of the Union State institutions, and advancing integration processes in the Eurasian region. In the telegram, beginning with the words "Dear Alexander Grigoryevich," Putin stated:

"We are always happy to welcome you to Russia as a dear and respected guest. As agreed earlier, I look forward to meeting you in Moscow soon," concluded Vladimir Putin.

In his message, he also wished Lukashenko new achievements in state governance for the well-being of the Belarusian people, as well as good health and prosperity.
